The body of a man was found at 5499 N. Federal Highway, a busy office complex and home to The Melting Pot in Boca Raton just after 4 PM on Saturday evening.

Later that evening, BRPD SWAT later took a person into custody near 900 N Federal Highway. A spokesperson with the Boca Raton Police Department tells Boca Post that the person of interest was taken into custody but no homicide charges have been filed at this time.

BRPD assures the public that investigators are tirelessly working on this case and we expect a formal statement by the end of tonight or early tomorrow morning.

While there are many theories and rumors being circulated on social media, there is no official word yet from BRPD. Boca Post does not share rumors. We will update this story when the facts of the case are confirmed.
