FLORIDA – (Boca Post) — The National Hurricane Center is watching two tropical waves that could develop further in the coming days.

The first storm, which is closer to us, is still showing shower and thunderstorm activity but remains somewhat disorganized as it approaches the Windward Islands. NHC says that conditions could become more conducive for development in the coming days as it crosses the Windward Islands and approaches the Caribbean over the weekend.

The second storm being watched by NHC is only now forming off the coast of Africa. NHC says that conditions are conducive to supporting the development of this storm over the coming week while it travels west at 10-15 MPH.

While these storms are both a ways off, it’s important to never let your guard down during hurricane season in Florida.
