Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum Opens “The Boca Raton - 100 Years” Exhibit

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A new special exhibit focused on one of Boca Raton’s most recognizable landmarks opens Jan. 10 at The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum.

The exhibition "The Boca Raton: 100 Years" will run from January 10 through May 2 by displaying historical photographs and archival documents and personal accounts to present The Boca Raton's evolution during its initial 100 years. The exhibition shows the historical development of the site through its display of genuine images and historical documents which show how the property evolved from its first condition into its current state.

The Boca Raton functions as a defining structure which determines Boca Raton's identity because it stands as a major real estate project which residents and tourists alike use to understand the city's visual character and its historical development. The exhibit explores the entire duration of this historic landmark which the museum shows through its collection of artifacts that illustrate major developments throughout different time periods.

The exhibit is on view at The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum, located at 71 N. Federal Highway in Boca Raton (33432). Museum hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitors do not need a reservation, according to the museum. The museum requires non-members to pay $12 for museum entry but members of the museum can visit for free.

The exhibition period provides local visitors with multiple opportunities to visit throughout winter and spring when Boca Raton and Federal Highway corridor experience their highest visitor numbers. The museum stands in the heart of the city which provides easy access to residents who live in east Boca and downtown and surrounding areas.

The museum provides visitors with simple instructions to visit by showing up during operating hours and staff will manage their entry process. The exhibit continues its display until May 2 so visitors can view the archival materials at their convenience since the display period extends beyond a brief exhibition period.
