BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — A large police and fire rescue response was seen and heard in Boca Landings late Sunday night as first responders rushed to a shooting call in the quiet west Boca Raton neighborhood.

Sources close to the incident tell Boca Post that fire rescue personnel had to stage in the area while PBSO cleared the scene, a home on the 9000 block of Aegean Drive.

After a few minutes, just before 10:45 PM, PBSO deemed the scene secure and first responders from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue rushed in. Shortly after, sadly, one individual was declared deceased.

While we suspect it was a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Boca Post has requested confirmation from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office which has not responded early Monday morning.
