BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2025) — Tuesday starts off with a low, dull sky over Boca Raton, the kind that presses down on the morning a bit. The Weather Service keeps today’s high near 74 — cool for this time of year — with mostly cloudy skies and about a 30 percent chance of showers or a quick storm after 10 a.m. Not a washout, just those stray Atlantic cells that wander across the beach and surprise whoever’s jogging near Palmetto Park.

Winds out of the northeast do most of the work. They run 14 to 16 mph with gusts up to 24, which you can feel on the bridges or even standing in a parking lot along Glades. That steady onshore push is why the rip current advisory hangs on through Thursday evening, no mystery there.

Tonight keeps a few leftovers around. A chance of showers and thunderstorms until about 9 p.m., then a lighter chance until midnight. Mostly cloudy again. Low around 68. Winds ease back to 8 to 14 mph, though a couple of gusts may still pop through the hedges.

Midweek looks better.

Wednesday turns mostly sunny and warms to around 79. A north wind in the morning slides west by afternoon — a small shift, but enough that the air dries out over the I-95 corridor. Wednesday night drops to about 59 with clear skies, a northwest wind cutting through the humidity.

Thursday is the postcard day. Sunny, high near 75, a northwest wind around 10 mph. Morning air will feel almost cool if you’re out early near Lyons. Thursday night stays mostly clear, dipping to 62 with a light north wind.

Friday warms just a bit, creeping back toward typical December. Sunny, high near 77. Winds start north and drift east in the afternoon, since onshore flow has a way of returning whether we’re ready or not. Friday night is partly cloudy, low around 68, the east breeze picking up enough to rustle the palms along the Intracoastal.

Saturday adds some clouds. Partly sunny, high near 78, and a 20 percent chance of showers after 1 p.m. East winds 8 to 13 mph, gusting to 18 — brisk near the inlet. Saturday night turns mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers after 1 a.m., low around 70.

Sunday holds the same pattern. Partly sunny, high near 79, about a 30 percent chance of passing showers that come and go quickly. Sunday night stays mostly cloudy, low near 67.

Then Monday straightens things out again. Mostly sunny, high near 78, and a slim 20 percent chance of a shower sliding through.

For beachgoers, the rip current advisory stays posted through Thursday evening — something to remember before anyone heads toward the water.
