Today's Weather - Tuesday, March 24, 2026

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Boca Raton is set for a bright, dry Tuesday with sunshine and a high near 80. A light northwest breeze this morning will ease and turn easterly this afternoon as the sea breeze moves in. Tonight stays mostly clear and mild, with lows near 67. While the coast stays clear, patchy fog is possible inland around daybreak, and the interior will be drier this afternoon with elevated fire weather concerns

South Florida’s weather today is being shaped by a broad dip in the jet stream over the Eastern U.S., while a large area of high pressure slides from the peninsula toward the western Atlantic. In plain terms: the “big picture” pattern favors stable air and lots of sun for Boca Raton, with winds light enough that the daily sea breeze becomes the main driver by afternoon.

The National Weather Service expects Boca Raton to stay dry today as a weakening cold front remains well north of us in Central Florida. Even though a little more moisture starts to creep in later today, it’s not enough to generate meaningful rain along the southeast coast.

High temperatures should top out around 80 to the lower 80s near the metro coast, with the warmest readings inland. Two local impacts are worth noting.

First, early-morning fog is most likely away from the coast—mainly interior and Southwest Florida—where clear skies and light winds allow moisture near the ground to thicken before sunrise. Second, the air dries out inland this afternoon, and the forecast calls for minimum humidity around 30–35% (even lower in spots), which can make brush fires start and spread more easily.

Boaters and beachgoers should plan for a noticeable uptick in Atlantic hazards late tonight into Wednesday. Winds stay light today (generally 5–10 knots), but a northeasterly swell builds overnight.

Seas nearshore off Boca Raton and up toward Deerfield/Jupiter are forecast to build to 3–5 feet late tonight, then run 4–6 feet Wednesday with occasional higher sets—conditions that can be rough for small craft. The rip current risk also rises as the swell arrives.

The Palm Beaches are expected to see a high rip current risk Wednesday, with a moderate risk extending along the rest of the Atlantic coast beaches. If you’re swimming, stay near lifeguards and avoid venturing out on unguarded stretches.

Current Advisories / Watches / Warnings

  • Small Craft Advisory in effect from late tonight through Wednesday evening for coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach out 20 NM and from 20 to 60 NM (AMZ650, AMZ670).

7 Day Outlook

  • Tuesday (Mar 24): Sunny and pleasant with a high near 80. Light northwest wind turns easterly with the afternoon sea breeze. Dry air inland may elevate fire concerns away from the coast.
  • Tuesday Night: Mostly clear and mild, low near 67. Light southeast wind becomes calm late. Patchy fog is more likely inland than along the immediate Boca coastline.
  • Wednesday: Mostly sunny, then a 20% chance of a late-day shower or thunderstorm after 2 p.m. High near 80. Seas build offshore; rip current risk increases with the swell.
  • Thursday: Sunshine returns with a high near 79 and an easterly breeze. Most areas stay dry, though a brief, isolated shower can’t be ruled out as sea breezes push inland.
  • Friday: Sunny and warm with highs near 79 and steady east winds. Beach conditions remain choppy at times, but overall rain chances stay low for Boca Raton.
  • Saturday: Mostly sunny near 80 with a northeast breeze. Late-day and nighttime bring a small (around 20%) chance of showers or a thunderstorm as the next front approaches.
  • Sunday: Partly sunny, breezy, and cooler with a 30% chance of showers and a high near 77. Winds increase, and unsettled conditions may linger into Sunday night.
