Today's Weather - Wednesday, April 15, 2026

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Wednesday, April 15, 2026 BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Boca Raton will be mostly sunny today with a high near 78 and an easterly breeze that can gust around 20 mph. It stays mild tonight with a low near 70 under partly cloudy skies. Thursday looks similar but a touch warmer, with highs near 80 and continued onshore winds. The main safety concern is at the shoreline: dangerous rip currents remain likely at east coast beaches through at least Wednesday evening and are expected to continue through Thursday evening

South Florida’s weather pattern is locked in place today, and that’s why the forecast for Boca Raton looks steady and quiet. The National Weather Service notes a strong dome of high pressure aloft is sitting over the Southeast U.S., and it’s unusually strong for mid-April.

In plain terms, that setup acts like a lid on the atmosphere, limiting cloud growth and keeping rain chances near zero. For Boca Raton and the rest of the east coast metro, that means lots of sun, low humidity for this time of year, and temperatures that run seasonably warm but not oppressive.

Expect a high around 78 today, then near 80 Thursday, with overnight lows around 70–71. Winds are a key part of the story.

Even as the pressure difference relaxes a bit, the onshore (east) breeze remains noticeable, with gusts that can reach the 20 mph range locally. That steady push of wind off the Atlantic helps keep daytime temperatures a little lower along the immediate coast compared to inland and Gulf-side communities.

For boaters and beachgoers near Boca Raton, onshore winds remain the headline. Expect east winds around 10–15 knots today and tonight, keeping the Intracoastal at a moderate chop.

Atlantic seas run about 2–3 feet nearshore and offshore, with a short, wind-driven wave pattern. At the beach, the persistent onshore flow continues to support dangerous rip currents.

A High Rip Current Risk is in effect through Thursday evening for South Florida’s east coast beaches, including the Boca Raton area. If you’re heading to the sand, swim near a staffed lifeguard and avoid entering the water if conditions look rough—rip currents can be hard to spot even on sunny days.
