Today's Weather - Monday, April 13, 2026

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Boca Raton starts the week with mostly sunny skies and a steady ocean breeze. Highs today will top out near 78, with east winds around 17 mph and gusts up to about 24 mph, especially near the beach. It stays dry, but the onshore wind keeps the surf active and rip currents dangerous. Tonight turns mostly cloudy and mild near 71, with breezy east winds continuing

South Florida’s weather pattern is locked in for the start of the week, and it’s a classic “bright but breezy” setup for Boca Raton. The National Weather Service says a strong area of high pressure is stacked through the atmosphere, which helps keep clouds limited and rain chances near zero.

That same setup is also pulling in a much drier air mass than we typically see for mid-April, so the sky should look crisp and the air will feel less humid than usual. The main impact today is the wind.

With high pressure to the north and steady onshore flow, Boca Raton will run breezy through the day, with the strongest gusts closest to the coastline. That ocean breeze also creates a noticeable temperature split across South Florida: coastal communities like Boca stay a bit cooler in the afternoon, while inland and western areas heat up more.

For Boca Raton specifically, the forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high near 78 today, then a mostly cloudy and mild night around 71. Tuesday stays mostly sunny with a high near 79, still breezy but gradually easing compared to today.

Boating conditions remain rough on the Atlantic side early today. The marine forecast calls for east winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts up to 25 knots and seas around 5 to 7 feet (occasionally higher), with choppy conditions in the Intracoastal in exposed areas.

Conditions improve gradually after today, but the onshore breeze is expected to stay strong enough for “caution” conditions much of the week. Along the coast, elevated surf and a persistent onshore flow support a high rip current risk at area beaches, so beachgoers should take the warnings seriously.

7 Day Outlook

  • Wednesday: Mostly sunny and warm with highs near 79. East winds around 10–14 mph with gusts near 20 mph. Dry air keeps rain chances very low across Boca Raton.
  • Thursday: Mostly sunny and a touch warmer, high near 81. East winds 9–11 mph. Continued dry weather, with the ocean breeze still noticeable near the beach during the afternoon.
  • Friday: Sunny with highs near 82 and lighter east winds. Dry conditions continue, and afternoons feel warmer as the breeze relaxes. Beachgoers should still watch for rip currents.
  • Saturday: Sunny and warm with highs near 83 and a mild night near 73. Overall dry pattern holds, though a few more clouds are possible at times late day.
  • Sunday: Mostly sunny with highs near 83. A small uptick in clouds is possible, and late-week guidance suggests a few brief showers could return nearby, but widespread rain is not expected.
