BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Boca Raton is heading into the spring and summer golf season with a full slate of camps, lessons, junior programs and booking tools tied to its two public courses, the Boca Raton Golf & Racquet Club and the Alan C. Alford Red Reef Family Golf Course.
The city’s latest golf update for March 2026 highlights programming for children and adults, recent tournament activity, and new reminders about how players can reserve tee times and track openings. For Boca Raton residents, it is also a look at how the city continues to use its municipal golf system as both a recreation amenity and a youth sports pipeline.
The two facilities serve different roles. The Boca Raton Golf & Racquet Club, at 17751 Boca Club Blvd., is the city’s par-72 championship 18-hole course, with tees ranging from 5,000 to 6,600 yards. The Red Reef course, at 1221 N. Ocean Blvd., is a shorter 9-hole, 1,357-yard family course with views of the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean. The city said the Red Reef course is funded in part by the Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District.
The update comes after a high-profile week of golf at the Old Course at Broken Sound, where Zach Johnson won the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational in his debut on the PGA Tour Champions. The city described the event as a strong week for Boca Raton, drawing players, football legends, fans and visitors from across the county.
For families looking ahead to summer break, the city is now advertising several youth programs at the Boca Raton Golf & Racquet Club.
Its Elite Full Day Golf Camp, for ages 7 to 16, runs in weekly sessions from June 1 through Aug. 14 and is priced at $825 per week. The city said the camp is built for more dedicated junior golfers and focuses on full swing, short game, bunker play and on-course strategy. Snacks, beverages and lunch are included.
A broader Golf Camp for ages 5 to 16 will also run weekly from June 1 through Aug. 14. Half-day sessions, from 9 a.m. to noon, are listed at $375 per week. Full-day sessions, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., are listed at $725 per week. The city said no equipment is required, and campers will get daily instruction, drills, games and on-course play. Snacks and beverages are included, and lunch is provided for full-day campers.
The city is also running a PGA Jr. League program for ages 6 to 16 at the Golf & Racquet Club. The 2026 spring league runs from March 8 through May 17, with practices and matches scheduled at 3 p.m. The program includes weekly practice, six matches, jerseys, prizes and an end-of-season awards banquet. Matches are being played at both Boca Raton Golf & Racquet Club and Park Ridge Golf Course using a two-player scramble format.
Adult instruction remains part of the mix. The city said the Golf Pro Shop at the Boca Raton Golf & Racquet Club offers hourly lessons and five- and 10-hour packages. Men’s and women’s league play is also expected to return, with the Men’s Golf Association beginning in early May and November on Wednesdays, and the Women’s Golf Association beginning in early October on Tuesdays.
Youth lessons are also available on Saturdays through hourly, five-hour and 10-hour packages for beginner and advanced players.
For golfers focused on equipment, the city is promoting custom club fitting sessions at the Golf & Racquet Club using TrackMan data. A one-hour fitting, focused on one area of the game, is listed at $150 for residents and $187.50 for non-residents. A two-hour bag fitting is listed at $300 for residents and $375 for non-residents. A three-hour fitting with full bag analysis and on-course testing is listed at $450 for residents and $562.50 for non-residents.
The city is also steering golfers to two digital tools. The Noteefy app allows players to set preferred tee times and receive text or email alerts when openings appear. The City of Boca Raton Golf app includes tee-time booking, course information and weather updates.
The March update also recognized recent hole-in-one players at both city courses, including nine at Boca Raton Golf & Racquet Club between September 2025 and March 2026, and two at Red Reef in January and February 2026.

For residents, the message is simple: the city’s golf operation is not just selling rounds. It is promoting year-round programming for beginners, junior players, regular league golfers and players looking for practice, instruction or summer activities. With camp registration open and spring play already underway, Boca Raton’s public golf season is moving into its busiest stretch.
