BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A West Palm Beach man remains behind bars following a pursuit and arrest near Interstate 95 in Boca Raton that ended Friday afternoon in the parking lot of Tomasso’s Pizza and Subs.

Daniel Jamie Pulley III, 23, was booked into custody early Saturday morning after what witnesses described as a coordinated law enforcement takedown near Palmetto Park Road and I-95. Preliminary booking records show Pulley faces eight separate charges stemming from the incident, including grand theft of a motor vehicle and felony fleeing and eluding police involving injury or death.

The arrest unfolded in a busy commercial area just off the highway, drawing a visible response from state troopers and local police. Social media posts from the scene described officers converging on the restaurant’s parking lot while staff and customers were directed to shelter inside as the arrest was carried out.

According to a statement posted by Tomasso’s Pizza and Subs on Facebook during the incident, law enforcement arrested a suspect they believed had been tracked in a stolen vehicle and taken into custody in the parking lot. The restaurant reported that no one was injured and that staff and customers were instructed to remain in the back of the building while officers worked to secure the scene. The business said conditions outside were chaotic but emphasized that everyone inside was safe.

Booking information reviewed by Boca Post shows Pulley is charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, possession of burglary tools with intent to use, criminal mischief, reckless driving with damage to person or property, operating a vehicle at speeds exceeding the posted limit by more than 50 miles per hour, driving without a valid license, and felony fleeing or eluding law enforcement involving injury or death.

The felony fleeing charge is the most serious count listed and typically reflects allegations that a driver attempted to evade police under circumstances that created a risk of serious harm. Authorities have not yet released a full arrest report detailing how the pursuit began, where it originated, or what led officers to the Boca Raton location. Boca Post is awaiting a complete report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Bond information shows a mix of set and no-bond counts across the charges. Pulley remains in custody as of Saturday morning, with no release date listed.

Court records indicate Pulley has an extensive criminal history, with at least 16 felony arrests dating back to 2020. The current case adds to a record that spans multiple prior encounters with the criminal justice system.

The incident caused temporary disruption for businesses near the Palmetto Park Road and I-95 interchange, an area that serves as a major traffic gateway into Boca Raton. No injuries were reported at the scene, and law enforcement cleared the area once the arrest was completed.

Further details, including investigative findings and potential court dates, are expected once formal reports are released and the case is filed in court.
