Boca Raton'S Anthony Grillo Arrested Again

Boca Raton’S Anthony Grillo Arrested Again

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — The Boca Belt Guy, Anthony Grillo, of Century Village in Boca Raton, is accused of attacking his roommate with a belt while he was sleeping.

Anthony Grillo, 61, of the 4000 block of NW 27th Ave in Boca Raton, has been arrested Tuesday morning by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office. Boca Post has been notified that the charges filed include “BATTERY – TOUCH OR STRIKE”

According to an arrest report submitted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Century Village in Boca Raton to meet with Grillo after he called them to accuse his roommate of stealing his jewelry and ATM card.

When deputies arrived, they spoke to the roommate who said he was sleeping when Grillo woke him up and allegedly attacked him with a belt. The roommate says Grillo accused him of stealing his jewelry and ATM card.

Deputies observed apparent injuries on the roommate’s shoulder which they say are consistent with Grillo’s alleged belt attack. It is unclear if the roommate stole any of Grillo’s belongings; however, it is clear that Grillo has been arrested for the third belt attack in less than a year.

If the name sounds familiar, it should. Grillo has been arrested in Palm Beach County at least 8 times since November of 2021. Boca Post first reported on Anthony Grillo last November when he was accused of attacking a security guard in the Apple store at the Boca Town Center Mall with his belt.  Then, only weeks later, Grillo was arrested for attacking another man with his belt at a Publix in Boca Raton.  We also reported on another incident where he is accused of returning to the Apple store he was previously banned from for the belt attack. That case also references a violation of the domestic violence protection order.

Grillo was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 9:40 on Tuesday morning. Grillo was released hours later without any bond. Grillo is scheduled for arraignment next month.
