West Palm Beach Woman Dies After North Drive Crash, PBSO Says

PBSO says Grace Matilda Mannion died after a single-vehicle crash on North Drive in the West Palm Beach area.

A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office traffic report identified a fatal crash in the 5800 block of North Drive in the West Palm Beach area.

WEST PALM BEACH, FL —A West Palm Beach woman died after a single-vehicle crash on North Drive, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Grace Matilda Mannion, 88, was driving a 2016 Toyota Scion iM westbound in the 5800 block of North Drive at about 10:53 p.m. on May 19, 2026, according to PBSO’s crash report.

Investigators said Mannion was approaching a left-hand curve in the roadway when the vehicle failed to negotiate the curve. The vehicle drove off the roadway, and the front of the vehicle struck a large tree, according to the report.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue transported Mannion from the scene to St. Mary’s Medical Center. The report initially described her injuries as minor.

PBSO said Mannion was pronounced deceased at approximately 5:20 a.m. on June 3, 2026, from injuries sustained in the collision.

The report states that next of kin has been notified. No other vehicles were listed in the information provided by PBSO.
