BOCA RATON, FL — The red Slingshot kept going. Florida Highway Patrol says troopers tried to slow the vehicle on Interstate 95 in Palm Beach County before the pursuit ended near Donald Ross Road with the driver taken into custody.

Adam Christopher Keith, 31, of Boca Raton, was arrested June 14, 2026, after FHP accused him of fleeing troopers in a red 2025 Slingshot, according to an arrest report and Palm Beach County court records.

Keith faces charges including fleeing to elude police with disregard for safety, driving while license suspended or revoked as a third or subsequent offense, DUI alcohol or drugs third violation within 10 years, refusal to submit to DUI testing, reckless driving subsequent offense, operating a vehicle more than 100 mph while threatening persons or property, resisting an officer without violence, and probation violation, according to booking and court records.

The charges are allegations. Keith has not been convicted in this case.

According to the FHP arrest report, the incident began at about 8:46 a.m. June 14 when a trooper responded to assist with a vehicle that was allegedly fleeing and eluding. The vehicle was described in the report as a red Slingshot occupied by a white male wearing glasses.

The report states the trooper activated emergency lights and siren and began heading south on I-95 from the northbound entrance ramp near County Road 702, also listed as 45th Street.

At about 8:53 a.m., the trooper reported seeing the fleeing vehicle approaching from behind at a high rate of speed. FHP says troopers tried to slow the vehicle several times as it continued along I-95.

The arrest report states that near Northlake Boulevard, one patrol vehicle reached speeds up to 134 mph while trying to get behind the Slingshot. At that point, the report says the fleeing vehicle was estimated to be traveling 113 mph in a posted 65 mph zone.

As the pursuit continued near PGA Boulevard and Military Trail, troopers again attempted to slow the vehicle, according to the report. The report says the Slingshot made aggressive lane changes while troopers positioned their vehicles around it.

Near Donald Ross Road, another trooper assisted and moved in front of the fleeing vehicle, according to FHP. The report says the driver attempted to overtake that patrol vehicle using the inside grassy median.

FHP says the Slingshot then lost control, re-entered the inside lane, struck the rear-left side of a trooper’s patrol vehicle and sideswiped the guardrail face in the median. The report says a trooper then used his patrol vehicle to help prevent the Slingshot from continuing.

The report states Keith did not comply with verbal commands to put his hands up and exit the vehicle slowly. FHP says troopers removed him from the vehicle, took him to the ground and handcuffed him.

Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue responded and transported Keith to St. Mary’s Medical Center for evaluation, according to the arrest report.

While at the hospital, the trooper wrote that Keith’s pupils appeared very dilated, his speech was slurred, he had trouble focusing and there was a strong smell of an unknown alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. The report states the trooper determined there was probable cause to believe Keith was driving under the influence.

At 12:49 p.m., the trooper asked Keith to submit to a lawful urine test, according to the report. FHP says Keith refused. The report states the trooper then read Florida implied consent and Keith again refused at 12:50 p.m.

The arrest report also states that a records check showed Keith’s license was currently suspended and that he had prior convictions for driving while license suspended. The report further states an FCIC/NCIC query showed Keith was on probation or supervised release until April 26, 2029, and was not allowed to operate a motor vehicle under special conditions.

Keith was later medically cleared and transported to the Palm Beach County Jail, according to FHP.

Palm Beach County booking records list bond amounts including $50,000 on the fleeing/eluding charge, $20,000 on the DUI third violation charge, $20,000 on the suspended license charge, $5,000 each on the reckless driving, excessive speed and resisting charges, and $1,000 on the DUI refusal charge. The probation violation booking entry listed a $0 bond amount.

Court docket entries show probable cause was found June 15, 2026. The docket also lists court activity including a July 14, 2026, 30-day return appearance and an Aug. 6, 2026, initial case conference.

A court docket entry also lists release-related conditions including in-house arrest with a PBSO monitor, no alcohol or illegal drugs or non-prescription drugs with random testing, and no driving.
