BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A Delray Beach woman was arrested after Boca Raton police said a domestic dispute outside the Cinemark movie theater on Airport Road escalated into battery, alleged strangulation and a felony burglary charge tied to a vehicle in the parking lot.
Nicola Victoria Nosek, 18, of Delray Beach, was arrested May 21, 2026, by the Boca Raton Police Department after officers responded to 3200 Airport Road shortly after 1 a.m., according to the probable cause affidavit. Jail records list charges of felony battery by domestic strangulation, misdemeanor battery and burglary with assault or battery.
Boca Post is not naming the alleged victim because the police paperwork identifies her as a juvenile victim in a domestic violence-related case, and victim information is protected under Florida victim-confidentiality rules.
According to the affidavit, Boca Raton police were called to the Cinemark property for a disturbance. When officers arrived, the alleged victim told police she had just left the theater and was walking toward a friend’s white 2018 Acura, which was parked in the northwest corner of the lot.
The alleged victim told police she entered the driver’s seat of the vehicle before Nosek, described in the affidavit as her ex-girlfriend, approached. Police said the two became involved in a verbal argument that prevented the alleged victim from closing the driver’s side door.
The affidavit states Nosek then entered the vehicle and struck the alleged victim on the upper left side of her lip and on her left ear with a closed fist. The alleged victim also told police Nosek placed both hands around her neck and squeezed with enough force to affect her breathing.
Police said the alleged victim reported that she nearly lost consciousness before she was able to push Nosek away.
Afterward, the affidavit states, Nosek threw a phone at the alleged victim. The alleged victim told police she took the phone and gave it to a nearby Cinemark employee in an effort to create distance from the situation.
The responding officer wrote that he observed redness on the alleged victim’s lip and blood on her left ear. Police also said photographs provided to law enforcement showed redness around the alleged victim’s neck before officers arrived.
Investigators also cited witness statements in the affidavit. One witness told police Nosek had asked for a ride to the movie theater to address ongoing relationship issues with the alleged victim. That witness said Nosek approached after the alleged victim left the theater and reached the vehicle, then saw Nosek strike the alleged victim while she was seated inside.
The affidavit states the altercation became physical and required others to intervene and separate the parties. Another witness told police she did not see who started the physical confrontation but confirmed that a physical altercation occurred.
One witness also told police Nosek was jumping onto the hood of the vehicle in an attempt to reach the alleged victim, according to the affidavit.
Police said Nosek was later read her constitutional warnings and declined to provide a statement.
Based on the investigation, Boca Raton police arrested Nosek on charges tied to domestic battery by strangulation, simple battery and burglary of an occupied conveyance to commit a battery.
Palm Beach County jail records show Nosek was booked into the Main Detention Center on May 21, 2026. Court docket entries show probable cause was found the same day. Records also list a $5,000 bond on the domestic strangulation charge, release on recognizance on the misdemeanor battery charge, and a $15,000 bond on the burglary charge.
The court docket also lists no-contact conditions involving the alleged victim and witnesses. The case was continued to June 20, 2026, for a 30-day return hearing, with an initial case conference set for July 16, 2026.
The charges are allegations. Nosek has not been convicted in this case.
