FLORIDA (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A Florida Missing Child Alert has been issued for a 16-year-old boy reported missing from Homestead, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

FDLE identified the child as Deniro Venero. He is 16 years old, male, and described as White-Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes. FDLE listed his height as 6 feet and his weight as 220 pounds.

The last known area provided in the alert is Homestead in Dade County.

Missing Child Alerts are distributed statewide through FDLE’s Missing Children Information Center. The point is speed and reach, getting a description and last known area out quickly so the public and law enforcement can act on tips.

For South Florida residents, the immediate takeaway is simple: if you have information that could help locate the teen, authorities want to hear from you right away. FDLE’s flyer directs anyone with information to contact the Homestead Police Department at 305-247-1535 or call 911.

The Homestead Police Department is the agency listed to receive tips and handle the local response tied to the alert. FDLE is the state agency issuing the alert and circulating the information.

What happens next depends on what information comes in. Residents should watch for updates from FDLE and Homestead Police, and report any information directly to law enforcement using the phone numbers provided.

The official FDLE Missing Child Alert flyer is posted online at http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/MCICSearch/Flyer.asp?ID=509655.
