COVID-19 Positivity Rate In Palm Beach County Is At 38%

Palm Beach County has a currently has a COVID-19 positivity rate of 38% which is slightly higher than Florida’s current average of 31%. The most recent numbers show the state may be on a downswing since the peak shown the first week on January of 2022. With Florida reporting 397,114 new cases last week, there is still a long way to go.

As of the end of last week, Palm Beach County hospitals have seen a 92% increase in new admissions due to COVID-19. 1132 total new admission seen in Palm Beach County due to COVID-19.

Palm Beach County hospitals are reporting a utilization of 20% beds in use due to COVID-19. That is about a 10% increase from the week prior. Florida hospitals are also reporting about 17% ICU beds used due to COVID-19 as of last week. That is a 9% increase from the week before.

Statewide, Florida is currently reporting 12,507 adult patients and 577 pediatric patients were recently admitted in to hospitals due to COVID-19 last week. That averages out to 82 pediatric patients and 1,787 adult patients being admitted a day.
