UPDATE

Brailford was later found in Phenix City, AL with a male who was arrested by authorities for a felony count of interstate interference with child custody.  The male, 27 year old Jontai Kahri Austin, allegedly met Brailford on Instagram. Brailford decided to run off with Austin because they are both aspiring Rappers.

Austin is currently in custody while the Upson County Sherriff’s Office investigates the case. Sheriff Dan Kilgore reported that tracking technology on Brailford’s cell phone was used to locate her.

Sheriff Kilgore reported that the search utilized “tremendous resources” to include fire volunteers, FBI, state and local law enforcement agencies, and citizens. Kilgore thanked everyone for their participation and assistance in this case.

Mia Brailford, The Florida teen who went missing during a JROTC field trip in Georgia who went missing on November 6th was recently located and is now safe. Brailford, an Atlantic High School ROTC student, went missing during her JROTC trip on November 6th at approximately 11:30PM. It was reported by the Palm Beach County School District that she missed her November 7th morning check-in.
