WEST PALM BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — 29-year-old Sophie Prudhomme was killed and two others injured after a multi-vehicle crash in unincorporated West Palm Beach.

PBSO and PBCFR responded to Military Trail and Belvedere Road in unincorporated West Palm Beach due to a car accident just after 1 AM on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023.

Investigators say that 24-year-old Donde Nicolas was traveling north on Military Trail, in the center lane at a high rate of speed. At the same time, Prudhomme was traveling south on Military Trail, in the left turn lane. 43-year-old Patrick Luxama was traveling north on Military Trail.

Prudhomme attempted to turn left crossing the northbound lanes of Military Trail. The front of Nicolas’ Infiniti Q60S struck the passenger side of Prudhomme’s Hyundai Sonata at a high rate of speed.

Post impact Prudhomme’s car was redirected in a northeast direction and struck a concrete power pole. Prudhomme’s Sonata came to rest in the outside lane of the northbound Military Trail, facing east. PBCFR transported Prudhomme to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

After impact, Nicolas’ vehicle rotated, and the rear passenger side of his car struck the front of Patrick Luxama’s Toyota Corolla. Nicolas’ vehicle continued in a northeast direction and came to rest at the south entrance of 1220 N Military Trail, facing south. Nicolas and his passenger, Fenley Clerfond, were transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

Post impact Patrick Luxama’s car rotated counterclockwise and was redirected in a northwest direction. The car came to rest in the inside lane of the northbound Military Trail, facing west. Investigators say that Patrick Luxama was uninjured.
