ROYAL PALM BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A three-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Road 7 and Pioneer Road in Royal Palm Beach has left an 88-year-old woman dead, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision occurred at approximately 12:24 p.m. on February 18 at the intersection of SR-7 and Pioneer Road, also known as Victory Groves Boulevard. Investigators say a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling northbound on SR-7 in the inside lane while approaching the intersection. At the same time, a 2024 Toyota Tundra was traveling eastbound on Pioneer Road, and a 2026 Cadillac Lyriq was traveling westbound on Pioneer Road. Both vehicles on Pioneer Road were stopped at a red light.

According to PBSO, the traffic signal had cycled to red for north and southbound SR-7 traffic and green for Pioneer Road traffic. Investigators say the Chevrolet failed to stop for the red light and entered the intersection. The left front of the Chevrolet struck the right front of the Toyota. Both vehicles then rotated, and the right front of the Chevrolet struck the right front of the Cadillac.

The Chevrolet came to final rest against the Cadillac. The Toyota was brought to a controlled final rest on the northeast corner of the intersection.

The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 32-year-old Rodquanda K. Williams, and a passenger in that vehicle, 88-year-old Iris D. Levin of Royal Palm Beach, were transported to Wellington Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, according to investigators.

On February 26, authorities were notified that Levin had died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. PBSO states she was pronounced deceased at 1:00 a.m. on February 19 at Wellington Regional Medical Center.

The drivers of the Toyota and Cadillac were wearing seatbelts and reported no injuries, according to the report. Investigators noted no injuries for those drivers.

The crash remains under investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
