POMPANO BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — According to investigators, the second subject that was transported to the hospital has been pronounced deceased. Detectives say the preliminary investigation has revealed the incident is an apparent murder-suicide.

At approximately 12:22 p.m., Broward County Regional Communications received reports of a shooting near Pier Street and Seabreeze Way in Pompano Beach. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded. When emergency crews arrived, they located two individuals suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. According to investigators, an adult female was pronounced deceased on scene, and an adult male was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Detectives with BSO’s Crime Scene and Homicide Units are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Note, this is an isolated incident. There is no threat to the community.
