PEMBROKE PINES, FL (Boca Post) — The roadway has been re-opened. One elementary school girl has been transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Driver of SUV that hit girl was also taken to the hospital to be treated as well.

Pembroke Pines Police Department has told Boca Post that at least one pedestrian has been transported to local hospitals. There are unconfirmed reports of a witness seeing two children injured.

One person says a vehicle was traveling 80MPH and didn’t stop.

For now, police are asking you to avoid the area and yield to emergency vehicles as Pines Blvd and NW 10th Street is completely shut down during the active investigation.
