CORAL SPRINGS, FL (Boca Post) — Sara Trost, a local real estate agent was allegedly shot and killed by Raymond Reese, 51, of Boca Raton.

On Thursday, December 23, 2021, Coral Springs Police Department responded to a shooting call where they found local real estate agent Sara Trost, 40, in her vehicle suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Coral Springs Police Department quickly identified and detained a suspect. The suspect, Ramond Reese, 51, of Boca Raton, was later arrested for the homicide.

In a statement from Coral Springs Police Department on 12/23/21:

Coral Springs, FL – On Thursday, December 23, 2021, at approximately 12:33 p.m., the Coral Springs Police Department received a 9-1-1 call about a shooting in the area of 5700 NW 48th Court.

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a vehicle with one female occupant in the driver’s seat suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical treatment, the driver succumbed to her injuries on scene and was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Sara Trost, 40, of Parkland, FL.

Coral Springs Police Department detectives conducted an immediate investigation and detained an individual in connection with the shooting. At this time there are no additional suspects being sought, nor is there a threat to the community.

An unconfirmed report from an alleged neighbor is that Sara Trost was mistaken for being the owner of a nearby house where the tenant was facing eviction. She was gunned down while sitting in her Jeep where she succumbed to her injuries.

Sara Trost was a local mother, wife, real estate agent, property manager, and real estate investor in the area who lived in Parkland, FL.

Sara Trost was an active real estate agent at United Realty Group whose office is in Plantation, FL. Sara Trost was an experienced Realtor with nearly 8 years of experience, according to Realtor.com. Trost also owned an interior decorating and staging business, Integrity Enterprises, LLC and was a Franchise owner of 1 Percent Lists SoFlo, a full real-estate listing service.

Sara Trost is survived by her Husband, Jason, and their 3 year old daughter. Sara Trost was known to be a animal lover and fostered many dogs for Paw Patrol Animal Rescue & Sanctuary.
