PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2025) — A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office detective arrested a 32-year-old Palm Beach Gardens resident Saturday night after reviewing a Crime Stoppers tip and social media videos that included threats of mass violence and a specific reference to Christ Fellowship, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Detective C. Godek of PBSO’s Targeted Violence Unit wrote that on Nov. 8, 2025, he was assigned a tip about “Michael A. Iaboni,” who was reportedly fired from his job and had “been making concerning videos” posted to Facebook. The detective said Palm Beach Gardens Police had already been notified about the same account and shared additional evidence, including the full video and post captured by their complainant.
The affidavit states the video — posted around Nov. 4 and later deleted — opened with a man who identified himself as “Michael Iaboni,” from Florida, wearing a gray sweatshirt. In the clip, he said, “I got fired and I’m fired up,” then added “It’s all kill shot.” He raised his hands as if holding a rifle toward the camera and made two “pew” sounds, mimicking gunfire.
In another segment described by the detective, the speaker said, “I would never take my own life, but I understand the people that I am going to be going after are and could potentially be dangerous, I’m going after mega churches, Christ Fellowship is on my list to hit also.” He also said, “My end game is taking you out,” and talked about not fearing death, adding, “I expect death to come fast and very violent, hopefully I go out fast”.
PBSO also documented a Nov. 7, 2025 Facebook post from the same account that read in part: “Cause if you give me the opportunity to defend myself. Its gonna look like a genocide. DON’T [EXPLETIVE] MY SUICIDE,” and referenced a “Dead man’s switch” and “Operation Murder The Corruption,” along with claims of having evidence about “5 very powerful politicians”.
Investigators noted Christ Fellowship had a large volunteer event scheduled Sunday, Nov. 9 — “Make a Meal, Make an Impact” — with roughly 1,000 additional people expected on top of normal church attendance. Iaboni lives about 1.5 miles from the church and had signed up on Nov. 2 for “the Journey,” an orientation program, as church staff reported seeing him in recent days. Palm Beach Gardens Police were notified by the church.
The detective wrote that it is believed Iaboni is in possession of firearms, citing a 2023 stop by Florida Fish and Wildlife officers who confronted him about discharging a firearm in a public place.
PBSO arrested Iaboni on one count of written threats to kill or do bodily harm — threats of a mass shooting or terrorism — under Florida Statute 836.10(2)(b). The arrest occurred at 9104 Ducale Way in Palm Beach Gardens, according to the booking paperwork.
\The detective concluded that, based on the totality of circumstances, the online statements were “a threat in writing or other record, including an electronic record,” to conduct a mass shooting or act of terrorism, “in a manner that would allow another person to view that threat”.
Iaboni was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on Saturday night. Court date and bond information were not listed in the documents provided. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
