Breaking 1 Dead In South Bay Shooting

SOUTH BAY, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — The shooter is in custody, and one adult male is dead in South Bay after being shot.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that one person is dead tonight after a shooting near the 800 block of Palm Beach Road in South Bay.

For those who are new or just unfamiliar with the area, South Bay is a small city in Palm Beach County on the southeastern tip of Lake Okeechobee and is about 64 miles northwest of Boca Raton.

Deputies responded to a shooting in the 800 block of Palm Beach Road, South Bay.  Upon arrival an adult male was located suffering from gunshot wound(s).  The male was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The shooter has been detained.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division are en route to the scene to investigate further.
