PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A West Palm Beach woman has been arrested on felony charges tied to a 2024 crash on Southern Boulevard that killed three Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office motor deputies, closing a major chapter in a case that has stretched more than a year through investigation.
State troopers arrested Corrinne Adrianna Blue pursuant to a warrant issued by a judge in the 15th Judicial Circuit. Prosecutors charged her with three counts of vehicular homicide under Florida law following what investigators described as a complex, multi-agency review of the crash.
The case stems from a November 21, 2024 crash along eastbound State Road 80, also known as Southern Boulevard, west of Lion Country Safari Road. According to the Florida Highway Patrol crash report, Blue was driving a 2019 Jeep Cherokee eastbound when traffic ahead slowed. Investigators documented that she veered to the right, left the roadway, and entered the paved shoulder where several marked Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office motorcycles and deputies were positioned.
Those deputies — Corporal Luis Paez, Deputy Ignacio “Dan” Diaz, and Deputy Ralph “Butch” Waller — were outside their motorcycles on the shoulder at the time. The report describes a chain-reaction collision in which the Jeep struck parked vehicles and deputies before continuing into a guardrail.
All three deputies were transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach. Waller was pronounced dead the same day, Paez later that evening, and Diaz died several days later from his injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol ultimately determined that the driver’s actions met the threshold for vehicular homicide, forwarding findings to the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office for review. That review resulted in the charges announced this week.
Executive Director Dave Kerner of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles said the case now moves into the court system, where a jury will determine the outcome. State Attorney Alexcia Cox said the charges follow a detailed review of the evidence and represent a step toward accountability for the deaths.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest and said the agency continues to grieve the loss of its motor unit deputies. Sheriff Ric Bradshaw’s office described the crash as a devastating loss and said deputies were performing their duties when they were struck.
Investigators also noted in the crash report that Blue’s vision was listed as “obscured” at the time of the incident, and a citation was issued for failing to maintain a single lane. The report documents no evidence of alcohol impairment based on testing conducted after the crash.
The roadway configuration — a multi-lane divided highway with a paved shoulder — and the positioning of marked law enforcement motorcycles along that shoulder were central to the investigation. Deputies were working adjacent to their vehicles when they were struck.
The case has remained open while traffic homicide investigators completed reconstruction, witness interviews, and supplemental reporting. The crash report itself shows multiple updates over several months before investigators marked the case complete pending final legal review.
With charges now filed, the case proceeds through the 15th Judicial Circuit Court. Blue will face prosecution on three felony counts. The judicial process will determine guilt or innocence, and potential sentencing if convicted.
