Gerald Laurore, 40, Passed Away

OAKLAND PARK, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — 40-year-old Gerald Laurore was killed in an Oakland Park car accident.

The incident occurred at around 9;44 a.m. On Wednesday, January 17th, when Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide investigators received a report about a fatal crash involving a single vehicle at the intersection of West Commercial Boulevard and North Andrews Avenue.

According to the initial investigation conducted at the scene, it was determined that Gerald Laurore was driving a blue 2001 Chevrolet Suburban SUV heading northbound on North Andrews Avenue towards Commercial Boulevard. As he approached the intersection, he attempted to make a left turn onto West Commercial Boulevard. However, during the turn, he lost control of the vehicle and collided with the center median, causing it to roll over. Tragically, during this rollover, Gerald was partially ejected from the car.

The Oakland Park Fire Rescue team promptly responded to the scene and successfully extracted Gerald from the vehicle; however, they had no choice but to pronounce him deceased on site. The investigation into this incident is currently ongoing.
