Ginette Saint Louis Passed Away

NORTH LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — 59-year-old Ginette Saint Louis passed away more than a month after being struck by a car in North Lauderdale.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, detectives are investigating the death of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in early May in North Lauderdale.

On Monday, June 26, BSO detectives received a notification from the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office that the pedestrian, Ginette Saint Louis, died from injuries sustained in the crash.

According to investigators, at approximately 6:46 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 1300 block of South State Road 7 in North Lauderdale. The preliminary investigation reveals that the driver of a 2016 Chevy Equinox was traveling northbound on South State Road 7 in the inside-thru lane.

At that time, the pedestrian attempted to cross South State 7 mid-block outside of a designated crosswalk traveling from east to west. Other traffic on the road began to slow, as the Chevy Equinox continued forward. The pedestrian then ran into the path of the Chevy Equinox and was projected onto the roadway.

The driver of the Chevy Equinox immediately stopped, remained on the scene, and cooperated with the investigation. Paramedics transported the pedestrian to Broward Health North, and she was later transferred to hospice care where she later passed away.
