Two Killed In Loxahatchee Single-Vehicle Crash

LOXAHATCHEE, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A 19-year-old female and a 21-year-old male are dead after their vehicle was found upside down in a Loxahatchee canal early on Sunday morning.

The crash happened just before 3 AM on Sunday, September 24th, 2023.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, a 2020 Toyota RAV4 was recovered from a canal near 60th Street North and 190th Terrace in Loxahatchee early this morning. Investigators say that the driver of the car lost control near the intersection of 190th Terrace N before it slammed into a guardrail and  landed upside down in the canal.

Fire Rescue was able to pull the vehicle out of the water hours later. 19-year-old Liliana Vargas of Loxahatchee, and 21-year-old Deric Verela of West Palm Beach, were both declared deceased.
