LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A Bicyclist died after being hit by a Cadillac XTS in Lake Worth Beach late on Sunday night.

According to the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, 27-year-old Milce Jacklyn was riding a bicycle westbound on Lake Avenue east of Golfview Road on the southern shoulder while wearing dark clothing.

At the same time, 81-year-old Arthur Dinkin was driving a Cadillac XTS eastbound in the right lane of Lake Avenue east of Golf Road. Detectives say that Jacklyn fell from the bicycle and landed within the right travel lane of Lake Avenue. According to detectives, Dinkin did not observe Jacklyn and the front of the Cadillac impacted Jacklyn and the bicycle.

Detectives say that Jacklyn was dragged under the Cadillac for a short distance as the 81-year-old brought the car to a controlled stop, following the crash.

Jacklyn was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
