HOLLYWOOD, FL (Boca Post) — Maquedius Dashad Bain, assistant football coach at South Broward High School, is accused of having sex with a student and has been charged with 8 counts of sexual battery and more.

The Hollywood Police department tells Boca Post that they have arrested the 28-year-old high school football coach after a thorough investigation determined he has been in an “inappropriate sexual relationship” with a victim under 18 years of age.

On Saturday, November 12, 2022, Hollywood Police Detectives were notified that Maquedius Dashad Bain, an Assistant Football Coach at South Broward High School, was having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a victim who was between the ages of 12-17.

After receiving the information, Hollywood Police Detectives in the Special Victims Unit made contact with the victim and the victim’s parents. A warrant was issued for Bain’s arrest. On November 14th, 2022, Bain was arrested on 8 counts of sexual battery, one count of authority figure soliciting/engaging in sexual conduct with a student, and one count of traveling to meet a minor to seduce, solicit, lure, entice or engage in unlawful sexual conduct with a child.

According to the arrest warrant, Bain was known as “Coach Q”, the new coach at South Broward. The young girl told detectives that the two started texting and began to have a relationship. The girl saved Bain’s number as “Father” in her phone, a tactic some teenagers do to hide conversations from their parents’ prying eyes. The extremely explicit messages included conversations about sex and include Bain’s own admission that he is older than the victim.

The underage victim reported to investigators that she would help Bain with picking up his kids from school and they considered her a sister. The victim says that after they dropped off the kids they would park at random parking spots, like at Hollywood Beach, where they would conduct have sex in the back seat of his vehicle.
