UPDATE: The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has canceled this Silver Alert. You can view the FDLE cancellation notice here.

FLORIDA (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — NAPLES — A Florida Silver Alert has been issued for a missing man last known to be in Naples, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

FDLE said the alert is for Karl Ristow, 85, from Naples in Collier County.

FDLE’s flyer lists him as a white male with gray hair and blue eyes. He is described as 6 feet 3 inches tall and 230 pounds.

A Silver Alert is a statewide notification used to help locate missing older adults. In practice, it pushes the information out quickly so residents, businesses and law enforcement across Florida can be on the lookout, not just in the immediate neighborhood.

In this case, the last known area provided by FDLE is Naples, Collier County.

Authority for the alert sits with FDLE, which issues the statewide notice, while local response and follow-up runs through the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Collier County Sheriff’s Office at 239-252-9300 or call 911.

Residents who think they have seen the missing person should call, not approach or try to handle it themselves. The key details to watch for are the physical description and the Naples last-known area, and to report information quickly through the sheriff’s office or 911.
