Florida Registers 1,000,000 Boats.

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) —  FWC reports that Florida’s boat registrations pass 1,000,000 recreational vessels statewide.

If you spend any time on Boca Raton’s Lake Boca or Peanut Island in Riviera Beach, you know that our Florida waterways can be as busy as Glades Road during rush hour. With Florida’s beautiful weather and waterways, we truly are the boating capital of the world.

Florida continues to lead vessel registrations across the country but this week, according to FWC, the state has exceeded 1,000,000 recreational vessel registrations. The agency reports that the top 5 counties are Miami-Dade, Pinellas, Lee, Broward, and Hillsborough.

All boaters are encouraged to adhere to FWC’s safe boating guidelines. A great day on the water can end in a split second with a boating accident. For example, this past weekend, a young life was tragically lost unnecessarily due to a boating accident near the Boca Inlet.
