FLORIDA (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A Florida Missing Child Alert has been issued for a 17-year-old boy from Sebring, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

FDLE identified the missing teen as Darren Cheatham. He is 17, male, Black, with brown hair and brown eyes. FDLE lists him as 5'05" and 120 pounds.

The last known area provided in the alert is Sebring in Highlands County.

The alert is part of Florida’s statewide system for circulating information about missing children. FDLE is the state agency issuing the Missing Child Alert, and local law enforcement is the point of contact for tips and follow-up.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sebring Police Department at 863-471-5108 or call 911.

For residents in South Florida, the immediate takeaway is simple: share only verified details from the official alert, and if you think you have information, route it to law enforcement. The public-facing information in this alert is limited to a description and the last known area, and the next steps depend on tips that can help police locate the teen.

The official FDLE flyer remains posted online at http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/MCICSearch/Flyer.asp?ID=507023.
