39 Year Old Delray Beach Man Run Over And Killed

DELRAY BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — 39 year old Shilet Belabre, of S. Swinton Ave in Delray Beach, was run over at a high rate of speed and killed this morning on Seacrest Blvd.

According to a PBSO report, Shilet Belabre was traveling on foot north when he was struck by a Chevy Express driven by 74 year old Joseph Datus.

Belabre was transported as a trauma alert to Delray Medical Center where he was then pronounced deceased at approximately 6:58am.

The accident occurred near the 3630 block of Seacrest Boulevard in Delray Beach at approximately 6:13am. It is noted in the report that Belabre was not wearing any reflective or high-visibility clothing.

Just a note for our readers, Shilet Belabre was approximately 3 miles away from his home on Swinton Ave which would take about an hour to walk.

The report does not indicate whether or not any charges are pending.
