DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A missing persons alert issued out of Deerfield Beach has been cleared after BSO said the teen was found safe in Pompano Beach.

Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit have safely located 15-year-old Willins Louis, according to an update from the agency.

BSO said the missing persons alert was issued Thursday, April 30, after Louis went missing in the 1500 block of East Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach.

The update states Louis was located in Pompano Beach. BSO did not release additional details on where in Pompano Beach the teen was found or the circumstances of the disappearance.

Authority for the case sits with BSO’s Missing Persons Unit, which issued the update.

What happens next is not spelled out in the agency notice. For residents in Boca Raton and across South Florida, the key point is the alert has been resolved and the teen has been located safely.
