BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — A West Boca Raton woman was arrested last night for attempted murder after stabbing her boyfriend on Monday morning.

Bonnie Quick, 63, of 228th Lane South in West Boca Raton, was arrested for 2nd degree attempted 2nd-degree murder on 3/22/22. Not for actual murder, as is being reported by another local news site run by a self-proclaimed ‘real journalist’.

The victim, Craig Jeffrey, did not die. According to a roommate of the couple, Jeffrey was attacked by Quick, who is his girlfriend. The roommate woke up to Jeffrey pounding on his door saying he need an ambulance and that he was stabbed 5 times by bonnie.

According to the police report submitted by PBSO, the attack started after an argument where Bonnie asked Jeffrey for $20,000 cash to buy a truck.

PBSO and PBCFR responded to the scene where they found Craig suffering from 5 stab wounds. Craig was taken to Delray Medical Center as a trauma alert where he is now recovering from his injuries. The roommate observed Bonnie packing a bag and leaving the scene in her car before PBSO arrived.

Bonnie was arrested the following evening and is now in custody for the 2nd degree attempted murder. Bonnie Quick is currently in PBSO custody for 782.04(2) ATTEMPTED 2ND DEGREE MURDER.

Quick has had her first appearance and the judge set her bond at $100,000 as well as several other conditions including no contact with the victim, no contact with witnesses, and no weapons.
