Update – 6/14/22

Boca Post reports on the most recent arrest of Anthony Grillo for battery in Boca Raton.

Originally reported by Boca Post

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — Anthony Grillo who Boca Post has dubbed the ‘Boca Belt Guy’ has been arrested again for two different incidents on the same day.

According to a police report submitted by Boca Raton Police Department, Grillo returned to the Apple store at the Boca Town Center mall where he previously received a trespass warning. Officers responded and found Grillo in front of the Apple store causing a scene. Grillo was immediately taken into custody and arrested for Trespass after warning.

While at the police station, officers who were working on another incident involving Grillo wished to speak to him about their case. Grillo refused to talk in much detail but he admitted to returning to a location where there was an active protective order against him.

Grillo claims he went there to collect his mail; however, a ring doorbell video submitted to police suggests otherwise. The video allegedly shows Grillo entering a vehicle in the driveway as well as going to the door and saying “that’s one of my cars”. Officers report that the vehicle has been abandoned there for the last few months.

Both arrest reports from 2/4/22 can be viewed below:

Anthony Grillo is currently in PBSO with a bond set at $15,000. He is facing the following charges:

  • 2 x FAILURE TO APPEAR
  • CONTEMPT OF COURT – VIOL INJUNCTION PROTECTION DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
  • TRESPASSING – STRUCTURE OR CONVEYANCE

Boca Post’s Previously Reported ‘Boca Belt Guy’ Attacks

Boca Post first reported about Grillo back in November when he was arrested for aggravated assault when allegedly whipped a security guard with his belt at the Apple Store in the Boca Town Center Mall. Grillo was arrested for aggravated assault and also trespassed from the mall on that day.

A few weeks later, Grillo was arrested again for using his belt while he threatened to whip someone at Publix. The 61-year-old was arrested this time for assault with a deadly weapon when he allegedly charged toward a person who he had a confrontation with after being told to watch his mouth in front of children.
