The Traffic Homicide Unit detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office are currently looking into the details of a collision that occurred in Cooper City area recently.The initial examination conducted by the investigators indicated that a driver was heading eastward along Sheridan Street in a 2011 Nissan 370Z model car.According to the detectives findings as stated by witnesses at the scene of the incident the vehicle suddenly surged forward. Lost control abruptly.The car swerved towards the divider where it collided with it before mounting onto it.Subsequently it crashed into a tree positioned in the middle of the median. Eventually came to a stop there. Following a collision with the trees impact the vehicle caught fire partially. The driver found themselves trapped inside the vehicle. Deputies from BSO Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue and Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue arrived promptly to put out the flames engulf ing the vehicle. Unfortunately the driver was declared deceased, at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
