1 Bank Jugging Suspect Drowns, 1 Arrested After Pursuit

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — One Coral Springs bank jugging suspect drowned while fleeing Police and another was arrested.

On Friday, July 7, Coral Springs Police Department attempted to apprehend two bank jugging suspects. Coral Springs Police Department requested the assistance of the Broward Sheriff’s Office as the suspects were outside of the city of Coral Springs.

BSO attempted to apprehend the suspects while near the 100 block of SW 10th Ave in Hallandale Beach, however, the two adult males fled from deputies. While one of the suspects was taken into custody without incident, while the other fled into a body of water. BSO says that the suspect was later found deceased in the water.

BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units are investigating the individual’s death, and BSO’s Burglary Apprehension Team is investigating the bank jugging incident.
