Bryan Bosscawen Of Boynton Beach Arrested For Domestic Battery By Strangulation, 4Th Domestic Abuse Arrest This Year

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — Bryan Bosscawen of Boynton Beach has been arrested for Domestic Battery by Strangulation, according to jail records released to Boca Post by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Bryan Bosscawen, 54, of 12371 Boneventure Drive in the Westchester Country Club in Boynton Beach, was arrested early Sunday morning by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office. Boca Post has been notified that the charge filed is “BATTERY – COMMIT DOMESTIC BATTERY BY STRANGULATION”.

For Bryan Bosscawen, getting arrested for domestic battery is nothing new. This arrest will mark the 4th time Bryan has been charged with abusing his wife this year.

The couple appears to be in a continuous cycle, fueled by alcohol, where Bryan Bosscawen ends up getting physical with his wife and then later arrested. The charges are later dropped because Gaildoreen Bosscawen, the wife, becomes an uncooperative witness, forcing the State Attorney to drop the charges. Sadly, this is typical behavior of abused spouses.

For reference, see the following dates, arrests, and outcomes from domestic violence incidents that occurred in the Bosscawen house this year:

  • 1/7/22 – Bryan Bosscawen was arrested for Domestic Battery
    • Court dropped charges, “No File”
  • 5/6/22 – Bryan Bosscawen was arrested and charged with 3 counts of Aggravated Domestic Battery, and 2 counts of resisting with violence.
    • Charges down filed from felonies to misdemeanors, some charges were dropped per “No File”
  • 7/5/22 – Bryan Bosscawen was arrested and charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery, Witness Tampering, Domestic Battery (Simple)
    • Court dropped all charges, and rescinded the protection order per “No File”
  • 8/7/22 – Bryan Bosscawen was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery by Strangulation
    • Pending, In custody

During the first encounter with PBSO in January, Gaildoreen told deputies that Bryan gets drunk and becomes abusive. When Bryan was being arrested, Gaildoreen cursed at the deputies in protest of him being arrested.

In May, deputies responded to an anonymous 9-1-1 call to find Gaildoreen terrified. Gaildoreen told deputies that she has been kept in her bedroom for many months and is terrified of her husband, Bryan. Gaildoreen admitted that Bryan hits her repeatedly, gave her black eyes, and bloody noses, kicked her in her legs, and pushes her into walls.

Gail told deputies that she isn’t allowed to leave the house, Bryan takes the keys to the vehicles and hides them, and demands she never leaves the bedroom. She told deputies complies with Bryan’s orders because she has reported such incidents in the past but nothing ever gets done.

In July, Bryan Bosscawen was arrested after he allegedly threw a TV remote at Gail’s face. When Gail retreated to the bedroom, Bryan kicked the door in, which struck her in the head. She told deputies he then ripped her cell phone out of her hand as she was actively attempting to call Law Enforcement.

The arrest affidavit from the most recent arrest, as submitted by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office:

I met and spoke with the victim and she stated the following, at approximately 1730 hours on 08/06/2022, Bryan woke from his sleep and demanded her to go out and buy alcohol and when she refused he pushed her down onto the living room floor between the table and sofa and with one hand he started to choke her.

She further stated she was unable to breathe for a short period until he released his grip. The victim gave a sworn video statement. The victim refused medical aid. Photos were taken for evidence of the victim’s injury to both sides of her neck. The victim fled to a friend’s home to call 911.

Suspect Bryan Bosscawen refused to make any statements. Suspect Bryan Bosscawen was placed under arrest for Battery (Domestic) Strangulation and transported to the Palm
Beach County Main Jail for booking.
