BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2025) — A Boca Raton couple have been charged with petit theft after authorities say they were caught on camera stealing more than $500 worth of merchandise from a Target store in Boynton Beach.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the theft occurred on July 17, 2025, at the Target located at 10201 Hagen Ranch Road. Store security reported that two suspects—a white male and a white female—entered the store, selected several items from the health and beauty section, and then left without paying. The pair exited through the front entrance and got into a silver Dodge Charger parked outside. The total loss was reported at $529.41, according to the arrest report.

Surveillance video later reviewed by investigators showed a man wearing a dark beanie, black shirt, and black shorts, and a woman in a brown hoodie and jean shorts. Both carried red shopping baskets filled with merchandise as they bypassed the registers and exited the store. The silver Dodge Charger had a distinctive black louver on its rear window.

A few days later, a law enforcement bulletin identified Christopher Nicholas Mascetti, 22, as the registered owner of a vehicle matching that description. The same bulletin also mentioned a woman, Brittany Alexis Prisco, 33, who closely resembled the female suspect seen in the surveillance footage.

Investigators compared photographs of Mascetti from law enforcement databases and noted tattoos on his right arm consistent with those visible in the Target video. They also confirmed that both Mascetti and Prisco had been stopped in that same Dodge Charger shortly after the theft.

Further corroboration came from officers familiar with the two suspects, who recognized them immediately after reviewing the still images. The male suspect was described as having a distinct walking gait and visible tattoos on both arms, while the woman matched the clothing, appearance, and behavior captured in the footage. According to deputies, the couple live on Dinner Key Drive in Boca Isles South.

Store security later provided a sworn statement confirming the theft was witnessed in real time on live surveillance. Both suspects were seen leaving the store with unbagged merchandise in red baskets before entering the waiting Dodge Charger.

Based on video evidence, witness accounts, and law enforcement identifications, detectives charged Christopher Nicholas Mascetti and Brittany Alexis Prisco with petit theft, a misdemeanor under Florida Statute 812.014(2)(e)(1).
