BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Westbound lanes on Clint Moore Road at NW 24th Way were closed Tuesday evening because of a crash, according to a traffic advisory from the Boca Raton Police Department.

The advisory, sent at 6:28 p.m. Tuesday, said the “WB lanes on Clint Moore/ NW 24th Way are closed due to an accident” and urged drivers to seek an alternate route.

The closure affects a key east-west roadway in north Boca Raton that many residents use to move between neighborhoods, schools, and major north-south routes. With the westbound lanes shut down at NW 24th Way, drivers should expect delays in the area and plan extra time if they normally travel through that intersection during the evening commute.

Boca Raton Police did not provide details in the advisory about injuries, vehicles involved, or how long the closure was expected to last. The department’s message was limited to the lane closure and the request for motorists to use another route.

Responsibility for traffic control and roadway safety at the scene sits with the responding agency managing the crash response and directing drivers around the closure. Boca Raton Police issued the advisory to notify the public and reduce congestion and safety risks as traffic backs up.

What happens next depends on the crash investigation and scene clearance. The westbound lanes will remain closed until responders can safely reopen the roadway.

Residents and commuters in Boca Raton and the surrounding area should watch for changing traffic patterns near Clint Moore Road and NW 24th Way, follow posted directions and any on-scene traffic control, and avoid the area if possible until the lanes reopen.
