BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Boca Raton stays sunny and comfortable today, but a high rip current risk and hazardous Atlantic boating conditions remain in place through at least Monday morning.

Boca Raton is waking up to classic dry-season weather: bright sun, low humidity, and a cooler north breeze that takes the edge off the morning commute along the I-95 corridor and the west side stretches near Lyons Road.
The big headline today is not rain. It is the ocean.
A Rip Current Statement is posted for the Atlantic beaches, and the risk is high through Monday morning. That includes the Boca coastline and neighboring stretches up and down the beach. Even strong swimmers can get pulled out quickly when conditions line up like this, so if you are headed to the beach, this is a day to stay close to a lifeguard or skip the water altogether.
On land, the forecast is quiet. Sunny skies are expected today with a high near 70 degrees. Winds start out of the north around 10 mph, then shift to an east breeze later this afternoon. That east wind can bring in a few harmless clouds off the water, especially closer to the Intracoastal and the barrier island, but it is still a sun-dominant day.
Tonight stays mostly clear and cool by South Florida standards, with a low around 58 degrees. The breeze eases, turning light and variable after midnight. If you are out late around Glades Road or driving back from dinner along Federal Highway, it is the kind of night where you might notice the temperature drop a bit compared to earlier in the week.
One additional note from the forecast discussion: reduced visibility is possible late tonight into early Sunday along Alligator Alley as smoke could get trapped close to the ground. Forecasters said smoke may continue drifting from the “Buggy Fire,” centered near the HoleyLand Wildlife Management Area close to the Broward and Palm Beach County line. Transport winds today are expected out of the northeast, which could push smoke toward the southwest. If you are traveling across the state late or very early, keep that in mind and be ready for sudden visibility changes.
Along the water, hazardous marine conditions continue across the Atlantic waters today because of a northeast swell. Even as winds ease, seas remain elevated. That matters for anyone boating out of Boca Inlet or running offshore, and it also feeds into the rougher surf and rip current setup at the beach.

- High Rip Current Risk through Monday morning for Coastal Palm Beach County and Coastal Broward County due to dangerous rip currents.
- Small Craft Advisory in effect for Atlantic waters:
- Until 1 AM Monday for the coastal waters and offshore waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach (out 20 NM and 20 to 60 NM).
- Additional Small Craft Advisory timing is also posted for adjacent Atlantic zones, including an advisory until 1 PM this afternoon for nearby waters in the region.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 72. Light wind becomes east 5 to 9 mph during the morning. Rip current risk remains high through Monday morning. Marine conditions gradually trend better, but seas stay elevated early.
Monday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 58. East wind 3 to 6 mph. Quiet, stable weather continues.
Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 74. Light wind becomes east 5 to 9 mph. Dry air remains in place, so rain stays off the table.
Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 61. Southeast wind 5 to 7 mph becomes west after midnight. Slight increase in clouds, still no meaningful rain signal.
Wednesday: Partly sunny with a high near 75. Light wind becomes southeast 5 to 8 mph. A weak mid-level disturbance may slide through, but forecasters expect the air mass to stay too dry for rain.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 60. Southeast wind around 6 mph becomes west after midnight.
Thursday: Sunny with a high near 77. Northwest wind 6 to 8 mph becomes east in the afternoon. Warming trend continues.
