Motorcyclist Dies In West Boca Crash

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — A motorcyclist is dead after being involved in an accident near US-441 and 18th Street in West Boca on Saturday, April 9th, 2022.

The accident occurred near US-441 and SW 18th Street in West Boca just before 3 PM on Saturday, April 9th, 2022.

The victim was identified by PBSO as 57-year-old Dale Patrick Bard from Waterbury, CT. Bard was operating his 2001 Harley Davidson Street Glide at the time of the accident. The other vehicle involved was a Ford Econoline F150, a cargo van, driven by Ralston Lawrence of Belle Glade.

Boca Post received a copy of the accident report from PBSO, below is a summary of what happened:

Dale Patrick Bard was driving his Harley Davidson southbound on SR 7 within the left turn lane to turn left into the Sandalfoot Square Plaza. Ralston Lawrence was traveling northbound in the inside lane approaching the entrance to Sandalfoot Square Plaza. As Ralston neared Bard, Bard made a left turn in Ralston’s path. The front of Ralston’s vehicle struck the passenger side of Bard’s motorcycle. Bard was ejected off his motorcycle and struck the raised median. PBCFR pronounced Bard deceased on scene.
