Boca Raton’S Alonso Ayala Arrested For 2Nd Degree Attempted Murder

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — Jesus Alonso Molina Ayala of Boca Raton has been arrested and charged with 2nd-degree attempted murder, according to jail records released to Boca Post by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Alonso Ayala, 21, of 400 block of NE 15th Terrace in Boca Raton, has been arrested by the Boca Raton Police Department. While the official arrest report is still being processed, Boca Post has been notified that the charge filed is attempted 2nd-degree murder.

Boca Raton Police responded to a stabbing call on Wednesday evening. Officers found that a juvenile had been stabbed multiple times in the chest with a knife. The suspect, who was identified as Alonso Ayala, had fled the scene.

The mother of the victim, told Alonso Ayala, who is originally from Honduras, that he was going back to Honduras the following day. Alonso Ayala has been staying with the family in Boca Raton since crossing the Mexican border into America 6 years ago. Alonso seemed surprised and mumbled, “who said I’m going back to Honduras?” as he walked out of the kitchen. She immediately heard screaming “he is killing me”.

She looked into the living room and observed Alonso standing behind the victim, who was sitting on the couch. Alonso was actively stabbing with a large kitchen knife that had a black handle and silver blade. The mother attempted to intervene by hitting Alonso and physically getting between him and the victim. She told Alonso they were going to call the police and he would be going to jail. Alonso fled out the front door with the knife.

The victim was trauma alerted to Delray Beach Medical Center. Ayala fled the scene on foot, prior to police arrival. Uniformed personnel located and detained the suspect at the intersection of Glades Road and N. Dixie Highway in the City of Boca Raton. Upon making contact with Ayala, he spontaneously uttered “I am sorry, I love him” multiple times.

Additionally, Ayala told uniform personnel who detained him that he had thrown the weapon out near a large tree just east of where they detained him. Uniform personnel located a large knife (silver blade and black handle with blood on it) stuck in a large tree, just to the east of where Ayala was detained.

Ayala was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 3:20 AM on Thursday morning. A judge has ordered Ayala to have no contact with the victim or witnesses in the case.
