BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2025) — A quick, light shower chance fades early today, then Boca Raton turns partly sunny and warm with winds flipping to the northwest this afternoon.

Today’s Weather – Friday, December 19, 2025

Boca Raton starts the day with just a small hiccup in the forecast: a 20% chance of showers before 8 a.m. If you’re heading out early along the I-95 corridor or cutting across Glades Road, you might run into a quick passing shower, the kind that darkens the pavement for a few minutes and then moves on.

After that early window, the day trends quieter. The National Weather Service forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high near 84. That’s warm for mid-December, and it’s the sort of day where the air feels pleasant in the shade but the sun still has some bite if you’re out for long stretches—whether you’re running errands near town or spending time closer to the Intracoastal.

Winds are part of the story today, mainly because they change direction. Expect a southwest wind at 7 to 10 mph this morning, then a shift as the day goes on: that wind becomes northwest in the afternoon. In practical terms, you may notice it most if you’re out in open areas—on east-west roads like Glades or farther west toward the Lyons Road side, where wind shifts can be more obvious across wider spaces.

For the Boca beaches, today looks like a decent setup once the early shower chance is out of the way. The forecast doesn’t call for storms or widespread rain—just that small morning chance—so if you’re timing beach plans, the safer bet is simply waiting until after that early window passes.

Tonight stays mild. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a low around 68. Winds go light and steady, with a north wind 5 to 8 mph. It should be comfortable for evening plans—outdoor dining, a walk, or anything that keeps you outside after sunset—without the damp feel you sometimes get when winds stay southerly.

7 Day Outlook

Saturday: The weekend begins on a bright note. Saturday is mostly sunny with a high near 80. Winds start out from the north at 8 to 11 mph, then turn east in the afternoon. That east wind is typical along the coast and can take a bit of the edge off the warmth near the water, especially later in the day.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 71. Winds stay gentle out of the east at 6 to 9 mph.

Sunday: Still in the “nice weather” lane. Sunday is mostly sunny with a high near 80. Winds come from the northeast at 6 to 13 mph, with gusts up to 18 mph. You’ll probably notice the breeze more along open stretches—near the Intracoastal, on bridges, and along exposed roads.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 70. Winds remain from the northeast around 14 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph.

Monday: The wind ramps up. Monday is mostly sunny with a high near 78, but it turns breezy, with a northeast wind 15 to 18 mph and gusts as high as 29 mph. This is the kind of day where loose outdoor items get your attention, and you feel the wind most in western open areas and on the east side near the water.

Monday Night: A small rain chance returns late. The forecast includes a 20% chance of showers after 1 a.m. Skies stay partly cloudy with a low around 70. It also turns windy, with an east wind around 21 mph and gusts up to 30 mph.

Tuesday: Another low-end rain chance, but the sunshine holds. Tuesday brings a 20% chance of showers, otherwise mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Winds stay breezy, out of the east at 16 to 18 mph, with gusts up to 26 mph.

Tuesday Night: The shower chance lingers briefly, with a 20% chance of showers before 1 a.m. Then partly cloudy, low around 69. The forecast continues to describe the night as breezy.

Wednesday: A cleaner, calmer look again: sunny, with a high near 77.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 68.

Christmas Day: Holiday forecast looks straightforward and bright—sunny, with a high near 77.
