BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — The Shavitz family of Boca Raton starred in a hilarious episode of Family Feud which airs tonight.

Boca Post spoke with Jeff Shavitz, a successful Boca Raton entrepreneur and father of 3, who said that participating in the production of the show was an unforgettable experience. Jeff told us that he and his family love to watch the show but were surprised when his middle daughter, Lexi, signed the family up to compete in the show. A year after signing the family up, Jeff says, the show e-mailed Lexi asking for a “family interview” via Zoom. They thought it was a joke. It wasn’t.

The Shavitz family participated in the Zoom interview, which was essentially a mock game of Family Feud where the interviewers assessed the family’s likeness. The Shavitz family thought they did great; however, they knew they weren’t guaranteed to be on the show as there were 1000s of applicants. Then, they were notified that they had been selected.  The show flew the family up to Atlanta, GA where they stayed for the production. The show was filmed in front of a live audience of about 200 people, mostly other families.

Jeff told us that his favorite part of the experience was the candid conversations with Steve Harvey, who he says is hilarious. Jeff said when he told Steve Harvey that he is a published author of a book called “Size Doesn’t Matter: Why Small Business is Big Business”, Steve looked at Jill, Jeff’s wife, and said, “Oh my god”.

Jeff says that participating in the show was one of the best bonding experiences they have experienced. We cannot share the details of how the family did. You will have to watch the show for that.

The Shavitz family will be watching, too. They have not yet seen the show. Jeff and his family will be seeing the show for the first time at watch parties in Boca Raton and New  York City.

Watch the full episode tonight on CW34. Check your local listings for exact times.
