BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A civil complaint filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court alleges a man was injured during a go-kart ride at a Boca Raton amusement park and is seeking damages from two companies tied to the facility.
The case, Valentin Tapanes Vera v. APX Boomers! Boca Raton, LLC, et al., Case No. 502026CA003838XXXAMB, was filed April 6, 2026, in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in and for Palm Beach County, Florida. According to the complaint, the plaintiff, a Miami-Dade County resident, is represented by The Barry Law Group. The defendants are APX Boomers! Boca Raton, LLC and APX Operating Company, LLC, both described as foreign limited liability companies doing business in Palm Beach County.
The lawsuit states the incident occurred on or about April 13, 2024, at Boomer’s Amusement Park located at 3100 Airport Road in Boca Raton. According to the complaint, the plaintiff was riding a go-kart on the track with his daughter at the time of the incident.
The complaint alleges that while on the track, the plaintiff safely pulled his go-kart to the side when another go-kart crashed into him. The filing claims the impact caused injuries and that the plaintiff had been operating the vehicle with due care at the time.
In Count I, the plaintiff alleges APX Boomers! Boca Raton, LLC had a duty to maintain the go-kart track in a reasonably safe condition for invitees and to protect against dangerous conditions. The complaint claims the company either created, knew about, or should have known about a hazardous condition on the track and failed to correct it.
In Count II, the same allegations are brought against APX Operating Company, LLC. The complaint states that this defendant also had a duty to maintain safe conditions, inspect for hazards, warn users of dangers, and coordinate the site in a manner that would not expose riders to risk.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he suffered injuries as a result of the crash, including physical and mental pain and suffering, loss of wages, loss of earning capacity, medical expenses, and other damages. The filing states these losses may be permanent or ongoing.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and has demanded a trial by jury.
All allegations in the complaint are claims made by the plaintiff and have not been proven in court.
