Man Dies Days After Being Struck in Boca Raton Costco Parking Lot

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A crash in the Costco parking lot at 17800 South Congress Avenue in Boca Raton has turned fatal after a pedestrian died days after being struck there, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say a 2013 Lexus RX 350 was traveling southwest within the parking lot while attempting to make a left turn when it struck a pedestrian who was walking northeast toward the store entrance. The sheriff’s office said the driver failed to yield the right of way before the front left bumper hit the pedestrian.

The pedestrian was knocked to the pavement and taken by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue to Delray Medical Center with critical injuries. The sheriff’s office said the man was pronounced deceased on March 15, 2026, at approximately 5:14 p.m., from injuries sustained in the collision.

The crash remains under investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
