UPDATE – 2/10/22

The second closure is still on schedule for tonight, Thursday, February 10th, 2022 from 11pm to 5am.

Original Story

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — The Florida Department of Transportation tells us that all northbound lanes of I-95 will be closed at Glades Road on Wednesday and Thursday night.

Due to an ongoing construction project, FDOT will be closing all northbound travel at Glades Road as crews work overnight on overhead structure construction. The closures are currently scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday nights of this week. All lanes are expected to be closed from 11pm to 5am on both nights. Monday (2/14/22) has been designated as a contingency night if needed.

FHP will be onsite to assist motorists.

During the closure, motorists will be detoured via the I-95 northbound exit to Glades road, US-1, and Yamato Road.

This construction is part of the 95 Express Lanes Phase 3B-2 Project. Boca Post recently reported on another I-95 CLOSURE the same project.

The 95 Express Lanes Phase 3B-2 Project will extend the Express lanes north from south of Glades road to south of Linton Boulevard. The end result of this project will increase the amount of express lanes while not affecting the number of general use lanes.
